Four positions, for three years terms, are open on the Board of Directors and will be filled by a majority vote of the members of the
TRBDC voting in present or by proxy:
- One Business Property Owner Director:
One(1) person who is an owner, or officer of a corporation that is an owner, of commercial real estate within the District
(Owner Director- three [3] year term).
- One Business Owner Director:
One(1) person who operates a business or profession within the district (Business Director- three [3] year term).
- One Residential Director:
One (1 ) person who is a resident of the District who is neither an owner of commercial property within the District nor operates
a business within the District (Resident Director- three [3] year term).
- One Route 37 Director:
One (1) person who owns a commercial property or operates a business or profession within the district located with frontage
on Highway 37 (Route 37 Director-three [3] year term).
Voting
Each commercial property within the District shall entitle the Owner thereof to one (1) vote; each Registered Business or Professional
Operator is entitled to one (1) vote. No Property Owner shall be entitled to vote also as a Business or Professional Operator located at
the owned property. No Registered Business or Professional Operator shall be entitled to more than one (1) vote irrespective of control of
multiple businesses or professional operations within the District. Businesses that have not registered and wish to vote, may become eligible
by registering at the TRBID office at 218 Main Street. There is no charge for registering.
- You may vote by authorizing Pamela L. Piner, Board Secretary, to cast your vote for the candidates you indicate on the proxy ballot.
- If you do not
authorize a proxy and wish to vote, you must vote in person on February 11, 2010.
- Persons who mail / deliver their proxy vote to the address below, may attend the meeting to vote in person. Only one cast ballot (proxy or in-prson) will be
accepted.
- Use the ballot to vote by proxy. Your Proxy Ballot must be RECEIVED BY 4 PM, Friday, February 4 (postmarked prior to
February 1 ) at the Toms River Business Development Corporation office, 218 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.
- The Nominating Committee of the Board of Directors nominates the persons as listed on the ballot. Additional nominations may be made from the
floor of the annual meeting. Spaces are provided for write-in candidates.
