Decorating Contest Rules

• Jump start the Holiday Season! Decorate by Thanksgiving!
• Downtown businesses are encouraged to decorate the exterior and/or windows of their business with colorful lights, wreaths, scenery and other decorative ornaments.
• Registered businesses may be decorated anytime, but must be ready for judging on Wednesday, December 5th.
• Entry forms are due Monday, December 3rd by 5pm. Pre-registration is required!

Who is eligible?

Your business must be located within the boundaries of downtown area. (Garden State Parkway east to Hadley Ave.  South-side of Rt. 37 south to the Toms River) Downtown Map

Judging criteria

This year's participating judges include the Downtown Toms River Residential Director and an art teacher from Toms River Regional Schools.  Judging will commence on Wednesday Dec. 5, at 5 pm.

Criteria Judged:

• Originality: Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations
• Arrangement: Display and placement of decorations
• Theme: Story line or scene
• Overall Presentation

Winner of each category receives:

• 3 FREE radio advertising spots on WJRZ announcing your business as the winner in its category. (Valued over $250)
• A plaque for your business!
