Decorating Contest Rules

• Downtown Toms River invites downtown residents to decorate the exterior of their homes with colorful lights, wreaths, scenery and other decorative ornaments during the holiday season.
• Judging will take  place on December 14th, beginning at 5 pm.

Who is eligible?

Your home must be located within the boundaries of Downtown Toms River. (Garden State Parkway east to Hadley Ave.  South-side of Rt. 37 south to the Toms River)  Downtown map

Judging criteria

This year's participating judges include a celebrity judge from Magic 100.1, along with other Toms River Township VIP’s.  Judging will commence on Wednesday Dec. 14th, at 5 pm.

Criteria Judged:

• Originality: Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations
• Arrangement: Display and placement of decorations
• Theme: Story line or scene
• Overall Presentation

Prizes

• $200 cash prize
• Yard Sign designating your home as the 2010 “Deck the Homes” Contest Winner
