Toms River, November 16 – On Wednesday evening, December 16, the Monsignor Donovan High School choirs and bands will present their annual Christmas Concert beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Gepp Gymnasium.  This follows the choir’s performance at the 86th Annual holiday tree lighting at the New York Stock Exchange on December 10.  The celebration takes place on Broad Street between Wall Street and Exchange Place.   This is the choir’s second consecutive appearance at the tree lighting.  In 2008, they shared the stage with headliner, Aretha Franklin.

            In addition, the choir will also be performing at the Toms River Christmas Tree Lighting on December 4, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Courtyard.  They will also be performing at the 2nd Annual Victorian Christmas Festival and Gift Boutique at Georgian Court University at 12:00 noon on December 5.  The following day, December 6, also at 12:00  noon, they will be heralding Santa’s Arrival at the Lakewood Town Hall.   Performances at the school’s concert on December 16 include those from the Concert Choir and Jazz Choir, under the direction of Ms. Cindy Wald-Hardyal.  The MDHS band, The Grifftones and the Jazz/Rock Ensemble perform under the direction of Mr. Harold Frazee.  
  
            Monsignor Donovan High School is Ocean County’s Catholic High School and is located at 711 Hooper Avenue in Toms River.
